Established in 2018, Hair for Humans ® was birthed from a desire to help people feel seen and understood through their hair. We believe that haircuts should be collaborative, personal, and about helping you look more like yourself – not fitting you into a box. We want your hair to be a part of your self expression!

Hi, I am Jules, founder of Hair For Humans®
I've been in Oregon for most of my life, and have been licensed and cutting hair since 2018
I take a collaborative approach with my clients to ensure we a can build a haircut that will work for their lifestyle, aesthetic preference, and realistic styling routine. Your hair should be 100% you!
​I am also a hair educator that works to help other stylists feel more confident behind the chair. I teach & share helpful tips both online, and in person. Follow me on my social channels to learn more and reach out to book classes with me.

Barber & Hair Stylist
Originally from Wyoming, I’ve been in Portland for the past six years. I have almost three years of experience behind the chair and have loved every minute of it!
I love cutting everything from fades to bobs, pixies to shags and everything in between! I'm all about creating cuts that feel effortless, personal, and uniquely you.
Outside of hair I’m into skiing, hiking, foraging, music and fashion.

Long Hair Cut
For hair below the shoulders, including trims, layers, and reshaping while keeping length.
Transformation Cut
Long to short – For big changes: going shorter, major shape shifts, or creating a completely new look. This is a more in depth, custom service.
Short Cut
For pixies, mullets, bobs, and above-the-shoulder styles. Focused on maintaining and refining short shapes.

All appointments are subject to the late and cancellation policies. To ensure that each stylist has enough time to help you feel your best and most confident, we require 24 hours notice for cancellations and no more than 10 minutes late for the appointment scheduled. Late cancellations, no shows, and late more than 10 minutes will be charged 100% of the service scheduled.

No you don’t have to film, however you do have to sign and agree to the film waiver in the off chance that there is filming during your appointment.

Unfortunately we are not wheelchair accessible, when we do eventually expand that will be our top priority.

We use video footage for social media marketing on most social platforms (IG, TT, FB, YT), as well as videos for training.

Yes we cut ALL people’s hair. We are a cutting specialist salon.
